A 19-year-old male suspect was arrested in Standerton on Wednesday, July 19, for allegedly selling drugs.
Members of the Standerton K9 Unit got information about a suspect who was reportedly distributing drugs at approximately 10:30 a.m.
The information was quickly responded to by police. When police arrived, they searched the suspect as well as his home.
On the premises, 34 complete tablets of suspected Mandrax weighing approximately 59 grams, 32 sachets of suspected Crystal Meth weighing approximately 31 grams, 22 Pokes of dagga and loose dagga weighing approximately 2155 grams, and R350 were discovered. The street value of the alleged narcotics found is around R20,000.
The man was immediately arrested and charged for dealing in drugs and is expected to appear in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on the 20th of July 2023 facing the said charges.
